Hail · lightning · insurance claims
Kansas storms are hard on RVs. When hail dents your rig or lightning fries its electrical system, we inspect it where it sits, document the damage, and work directly with your insurance company and adjuster to get it fixed. Arkansas City, Wichita, Derby, Winfield, Wellington, Ponca City and the towns in between.
What we see after a storm
Some storm damage is obvious. A lot of it isn't until the next rain, or the next time you plug in and something won't turn on. We check the whole rig, not just what you can see from the ground.

A real job
“Lightning strike fried all of the appliances, televisions, fireplace — everything inside the rig — and fused the surge protector to the 50 amp cord.”
That's what a direct hit looks like. The surge protector took the hit and still melted, and the damage didn't stop at the plug. When lightning gets into a rig, we trace every system to find what actually failed.
How it works
Questions folks ask
It depends on your policy. Many RV policies with comprehensive coverage include hail and lightning, but every policy is different, so check yours or call your agent. We can inspect and document the damage either way so you know what you are dealing with.
Either order works. A lot of people call us first so the damage is documented before they talk to the adjuster. If you have already opened a claim, have your claim number handy when you call.
Yes. We work directly with the insurance company and the adjuster — we document the damage with photos, write up what needs repairing, and talk through it with them so you are not stuck in the middle.
Anything connected to the RV's electrical system can take a hit: the shore-power cord and surge protector, converter, inverter, transfer switch, control boards, AC units, the refrigerator, televisions, electric fireplaces and slide or leveling controls. Some damage is obvious and some does not show up until you use that system.
Insurance and storm jobs are priced case by case because every claim is different. Call and we will explain how it works for your situation before we schedule anything.
No — the insurance company decides what is covered. What we do is make sure the damage is found, documented clearly and explained properly, and then do the repair right.
